This Too Shall Pass - OK Go (from the album Of the Blue Colour of the Sky)

Most people know this song from its incredible, incredible video- you know, the Rube Goldberg one. But when I saw that video, I was almost as stuck by how great the song itself was. It’s maybe the most uplifting thing I’ve ever heard, and the whole “Let it go, this too shall pass” thing has been a personal mantra of mine for a while. OK Go are often thought of as video artists who make music on the side, but their music definitely stands on its own- the album this comes from, Of the Blue Colour of the Sky, is highly recommended.

Anyways, the first time I saw that video and heard this song I was backstage at a dress rehearsal for a play and ended up missing my cue. It was worth it.
