Threshold - Sex Bob-omb (from the album Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: Original Soundtrack; song originally written by Beck)

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World was a movie that pretty much had to have a great soundtrack. And it has to be great in a very particular way- Sex Bob-omb are described in the book as being a terrible band, but their music has to be listenable enough for people to want to sit through it in a movie theater. The movie’s director, Edgar Wright, didn’t want to mess this up, so he called on Beck to write all of Sex Bob-omb’s stuff. He did a great job- the songs are musically simple and really low-fi, but I find myself listening to them a lot. Apparently there are a lot of Sex Bob-omb songs that didn’t find their way into the movie, and it’d be cool if he could release an album of some kind.
